For many years, Cobega has made substantial contributions to the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management Systems. The result came in 2001, when all of our production plants received certifications in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO 14001 standard and the even more strict requirements of the TCCMS (The Coca-Cola Management System) developed by the Coca-Cola Company.
The Valles plant, that has incorporated the most advanced technology in search of the minimizing its environmental impact and has promoted the regeneration of its natural surroundings, constitutes a paradigm of this goodwill and is a reference in our country. In the project, it is important to highlight the construction of the biological corridor between the coastal mountains and the Besos River at its pass through the Can Fenosa industrial park.
The Environmental Management Systems of Cobega is founded on the implementation in all the factories of the following programs:

Management programs of the water and energy that consist in a rigorous and detailed control of the consumption during the entire process in order to improve and optimize consumption.

Management programs of the atmospheric emissions, through the control and follow-up of the focal points.

Management programs of waste developing activities to improve the decrease, reuse and recycling of waste.

Management programs of the waste waters with the aim of minimum volume spilled and improve the characteristics by using the best techniques and practices available.
